First Step of Many; Initial Paperwork has been sent off to L'Academie de Nice for the Teaching Assistantship Program in France

I received an e-mail from the Teaching Assistant Program in France about a month ago telling me to send in a bunch of paperwork for my arrêté de nomination which has to be approved by the DDTEFP. I have been busy making copies of my passport, birth certificate and filling out the CERFA forms (shown in these photos) for my work contract. I am getting super excited about leaving, but I am also a bit nervous. I've also received the handbook for the TAPIF program in the mail, and it was over 30 pages long. I got through the whole thing, panic attack free, thankfully! I am still in the very preliminary phases of getting my visa and work permit, but there are things I can start to do. I need to translate my birth certificate, and I can do this, or I can have a service do it for me! But other than that, I am still waiting to hear where I will be in my Academie and what my school name is. I will probably receive this information in late June or early July. Until then, I must prepare myself emotionally and physically!! I leave in late September!

A tres bientot!

Jessica
