"What's in a name? That which we call a rose By any other name would smell as sweet."

I started this blog to document my next year traveling and teaching in the south of France. I named the blog La Charlotte de l'Isle (Charlotte of the Island) because this was the name of a delightful cafe on Ile-Saint-Louis that I used to frequent when I lived in Paris. It was run by two witches (literally), and they made the best hot chocolate!!
